Trade talks will start to pick up, if it's not already the case. The Flyers have the biggest fish in the sea for the upcoming trade deadline in Claude Giroux, so a lot of teams will try to acquire him.

We talked a lot about the Avalanche, but an Eastern Conference team seems to have taken the lead in this race : the Florida Panthers.
I wrote a piece a few weeks ago about the increased presence of Panthers scouts at Flyers game.
But yesterday, something even more interesting happened : Special Assistant to the Flyers GM, Daniel Brière, along with a team scout, was in attendance for the game between Hershey and Charlotte.
Must read on FlyersInsider
Charlotte is the AHL farm team for the Panthers and the Kraken.
Could forwards Aleksi Heponiemi or Grigori Denisenko be potential targets for the Flyers? If I was a member of the Flyers management, I would definitely take a look at Owen Tippett. He played a few games in the AHL this year (he scored a goal yesterday bringing his point total to 7 in just 6 fixtures in the AHL), but he spent most of the year with the Panthers, registering 14 points in 42 games. The 6 foot 1 winger is actually having his best season in the NHL.
Michael Benning, a right handed defenseman, is a player that the Flyers should take a close look. He is in the NCAA for the moment with the University of Denver, and is having a great year. He has very good offensive abilities for a blue liner, so he could be another great option for Chuck Fletcher.
