Earlier this week prospect Nils Lundqvist would inform the New York Rangers General Manager Chris Drury that he's not coming to training camp and has requested a trade.

Lundkvist felt he wasn't going to get much of a opportunity on a loaded Rangers roster, last-season Lundqvist only got to play in 25 games with the Rangers due to Rangers Head Coach Gerald Gallant going more with his more experienced defence core.
The question will be what will Rangers want in return for their young Swedish defenceman? Drury isn't going to give away his 2018 first round pick for and who's going to try to acquire Lundqvist?
It looks like at least one NHL team is willing to do whatever it takes to try and acquire one or both of the Rangers frustrated players available

According to Patrick Lortie:
"The Montreal Canadiens are interested in both of the Rangers prospects. Can confirm via an #NHL exec that the #GoHabsGo have been chatting with the #Rangers for weeks now. #Habs are said to be high on Nils Lundkvist and would love to poach Vitaly Kravstov as well. Not sure if or how they can pull this kind of trade but let's keep an eye on it."

It will be interesting to see if Montreal Canadiens Executive Vice President doesn't work with Gm Kent Hughes on this beings Gorton drafted both of the Rangers players when he was the he was the Rangers GM.
