Today's game against the Carolina Hurricanes will be the occasion for Flyers to host their annual Pride Night. In the past, the Flyers have always been "quiet" about Pride Nights but this year they are putting on the "whole package".

- Players will use warm-up sticks wrapped with Pride rainbow tape
- Flyer's charities will be selling pride themed tickets and present the You Can Play Projet with a check of $5,000. The You Can Play Project supports the inclusion of LGBTQ+ athletes and coaches in sports and ensure their safety.
- You Can Play ambassadors, James Van Riemsdyk and Scott Laughton have also launched a new initiative to facilitate and support LGBTQ+ presence in hockey.
There's been many more initiative, but these are the highlights.
"[Scott Laughton] and I wanted to do something a little more personal this year by hosting people at the game. It's important to be an ally and show [direct] support," Van Riemsdyk said.

The two players offered tickets for more than 20 games and signed jerseys and pucks to give out. While his brother Trevor was also an ambassador for LGBTQ+ for the Blackhawks, it is now time for James to defend the rainbow flag. For him, it is important to celebrate the fact that "hockey is for everyone" and that "no matter who you are or whom you love, you are welcome here at the Wells Fargo Center."
It's a nice gesture from the Flyers player and we hope that it brings them luck tonight!
