With fantasy sports becoming a staple for all NHL fans who aspire to be armchair general managers, discussing and watching potential trades is always enjoyable.
People often believe they have the best ideas for improving their favourite NHL teams. Sometimes, the trade suggestions are brilliant, benefiting both teams involved, while other times, they are outlandish and unlikely to ever materialize.
According to Bleacher Report, a mock trade was posted on Twitter suggesting a goaltender exchange between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Montreal Canadiens, along with a draft pick:

The proposed deal involves sending Carter Hart, who has been the backbone of the Flyers' goaltending and team, to the Canadiens in exchange for one of their goalies, either
Jake Allen or Casey Desmith. Additionally, the Flyers would receive a 2025 second-round pick, touted as a promising prospect.
It's safe to say that this would be a poor deal for the Flyers if it were to happen. Hart is entering his prime years and has the potential to be a number-one goaltender for any team. Jake Allen or Desmith alone would not suffice for what Hart brings to the table.
I believe this should be a five-piece deal, where the Flyers would have to send over two assets: Hart and a draft pick. In return, they should acquire a quality NHL-ready defenseman, another prospect, and a second-round pick or higher.
Currently, rumours are swirling about Carter Hart's future with the Flyers, as his contract is set to expire after this season. Numerous articles and rumours have suggested that he may not be content with the team's current state and might not want to commit long-term.
It's essential to remember that these are all just rumours, and we'll have to see how everything unfolds. However, this particular proposed trade seems unlikely to be a viable option.
