Sean Couturier has won the Selke Trophy, which is awarded to forwards who excel at two-way play.

He was on a team-friendly contract, earning $4.3 Million AAV, during that time period, but his extension began during the 2022-2023 season when he was absent.
How is Keller a bad contract?!?!?! It's one of the best in the league

He was raised to $7.75 Million AAV, which caused some cautious discourse with someone who would not return until 2023-2024 because of separate back surgeries.
Among those who feel Courturier should not have resigned, there is a belief that he has no gas left in the tank as a 31-year-old.
Sean Couturier's salary is $9,000,000 and his cap hit is $7,750,000 for the 2023-24 season. His salary is comprised of $5,000,000 in signing bonuses and $4,000,000 in base salary. He is a 30 year old centre who was born on Dec. 7, 1992. He was drafted 8th overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 1st round of the 2011 entry draft. He has signed 4 contracts worth a total value of $95,625,000. Over a career that spans 11 seasons (with at least 1 NHL GP), he has a total 460 Pts in 721 GP, and 22 playoffs Pts in 39 GP. He will be a UFA at the end of the 2029-30 season when he is 37 years old.

It could be argued he has one of the worst deals on the team with six years left on his contract.
It wouldn't seem an unreasonable contract if he were to return to form and not fall off while the Flyers demand more from him this season.
Until then, he'll have to live up to it.
