The Maple Leafs registered an embarrassing loss (5-2), yesterday, against the last place Montreal Canadiens. In addition to this defeat, the Leafs lost one of their most important defensemen in Jake Muzzin after a freak accident with Montreal's Chris Wideman.

During a Canadiens powerplay, Muzzin was in the offensive zone, but lost the puck. After that, he lost his footing and went directly into Wideman. His head seemed to bounce directly off the ice.
Muzzin was laying on the ice for a pretty long time, but managed to get up on his own. He directly went into the locker room and didn't return for the third period. He went to a hospital in Montreal to get tested and will stay there for the night.
He already suffered a concussion in January and returned to the lineup ten days ago against the Calgary Flames.
