Last night's 3-2 loss to the New York Islanders was bittersweet for the Philadelphia Flyers.

It was the captain of the New York Islanders who decided to play dirty by tripping Farabee, resulting in a collision with the post.
Farabee's status is unknown at the moment, but we're hopeful he's not seriously injured.

The fact that Toronto hasn't taken any action is even more concerning since it seems to be related to player safety.
This could easily be suspension worthy.

A dirty play from Anders Lee, slew footing Joel Farabee into the post. I'm surprised Farabee wasn't injured on the play, his body/leg went weirdly into the post.

Due to the full-play taken into account, only Farabee would be penalized as a result of the play.
Furthermore, Farabee just started feeling like himself after neck surgery last season, which makes the situation even worse. Hopefully, there will be no long-term effects.
The NHL seems to blame the victims for their responses instead of holding the real instigator accountable.
Despite being given a recovery timeline of three-to-four months, Farabee still took part in training camp and even appeared in all 82 games of the regular season.

But he very clearly wasn't Joel Farabee.

It was obvious he was nowhere close to 100% following his neck injury, and it plagued him throughout the season. As a result, he struggled to find consistency for much of the campaign.
