HC Vita Hästen player Casper Gillberg has been given a whopping 13-month suspension after a shocking incident in a #HockeyTrean game. The 22-year-old Swede body-checked a referee into the boards, causing the official to break his arm.

Gillberg, a big player at 6'5" and 227 lbs, has a history of trouble. Last season, he got a 9-game suspension in #HockeyEttan for an illegal flying elbow to the head. In the same season, he led #HockeyEttan (East) in penalty minutes with 66. In the 2021-22 season in the #NAHL, he had 124 penalty minutes in 33 games.
People are questioning whether the 13-month ban, lasting until December 31, 2024, is fair. The incident brings up concerns about player behavior on the ice and the need for strict measures to keep both players and officials safe in hockey.
