With the huge Hockey Canada trial taking place up north right now, a new piece of the story has been revealed. In a statement put out earlier today, Hockey Canada has revealed that members of their 2003 World Junior team were involved in a case of sexual assault.

"Yesterday evening, Hockey Canada learned of an alleged group sexual assault from 2003 involving members of the 2002-03 National Junior Team after being contacted by Rick Westhead of TSN/CTV National News with disturbing details of the alleged incident," read the statement.

This revelation comes days after it was revealed that Hockey Canada had a multi-million dollar fund which it used to settle sexual assault lawsuits, separate of their insurance agency. This fund was paid in part by the fees paid by parents to enroll their children in hockey programs across the country.
