After the recent trade, the Flyers had made with one of their top two defensemen Ivan Provorov. The trade sent shockwaves throughout the NHL and sent a message that the Flyers are ready to do this rebuilding phase they have been speaking about for months. Moving away from a player like Provorov signals the end of the previous generation of Flyers and onto a new version that is needed and long overdue.

Fast forward to today, the Flyers are poised to make one of their best choices in the last number of years at #7 of this year's draft. The 2023 NHL draft will be one of the deepest drafts in the last 20 years, with players stretching into the second round who will be impactful or regular on teams.
Dean Chaudhry from Flyers Nation explained in his article that could it be possible for the Flyers to look at David Reinbacher a defenseman from Austria who plays for the EHC Kloten team in Switzerland.

Eliteprospects.com describes Reinbacher as a rock-solid defensive foundation, a superb puck carrier out of the zone, and a steady force on the power play.
In light of the departure of Provorov and the need for a new face, the Flyers may consider drafting such a defenseman.
In recent drafts, the Flyers have been drafting several offensive players and could use a few more defensive players to help round out this team.
The fun will begin on June 28th when the NHL draft is set to begin.
