Are the Vegas Golden Knights circumventing the cap again?
In what appears to be yet another instance, the Vegas Golden Knights are utilizing the LTIR as an alternative method of circumventing the salary cap.
LTIR has been used by several teams in order to circumvent the salary cap, including the Maple Leafs when it came to
Matt Murray's situation in the Toronto Maple Leafs. As a matter of fact, the Vegas Golden Knights have probably abused it more than any other team in recent history.
I think it needs to be said that Nolan Patrick could be a perfect fit for the Oilers, provided he's healthy.

The use of this system can be useful when it is used legitimately in order to call up players from the AHL when needed, but the team must make sure it is done in accordance with NHL rules.
Nolan Patrick, a former 2nd overall pick, has however been the topic of a report by NHL Insider Frank Seravalli.
On OilersNow, Seravalli went into great detail as he spilled some truths regarding the health of Nolan Patrick, saying that Patrick may be much healthier than the Vegas Golden Knights have indicated.

Mark Stone has recently been placed on LTIR, which will last until the end of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Golden Knights have been the subject of allegations like this before.
There is, however, one thing that he has not done, unlike Mark Stone, which is to play a game in the NHL in 2022-2023. It was mentioned by Seravalli that he may be a possible PTO candidate this season, regardless of which team decides to take a chance on him.
Patrick was considered a high-end prospect but suffered multiple concussions during his career. Patrick played just 222 games since he was drafted in 2017, scoring 32 goals and adding 45 assists in that time frame.
