It seems like owning a professional sports team has become the latest trend among North American celebrities. Actors and musicians are eager to make a statement by acquiring a piece of the sports world and actively searching for suitable teams.

Currently, the Ottawa Senators are up for sale, creating a highly competitive market. One prominent figure entering the race is Snoop Dogg, who submitted a bid through Neo Sparks. However, Snoop's group is facing the risk of losing out on this franchise.
According to Frank Seravalli from thedailyfaceoff.com, the group is still in the process of 'getting money' and are seeking any kind of money they can get their hands on, not looking good for them.
This situation raises concerns, considering the Ottawa Senators' long-standing financial struggles. Previous owners like Rod Bryden and Bruce Firestone sought government assistance during their tenure, as the team faced challenging times in its location in Kanata, located west of the city, rather than in the downtown core like other NHL organizations.
The sale is expected to conclude within the next week or two, with the announcement of the new ownership group.
