Although the Flyers are expected to be sellers as Chuck Fletcher looks to continue his rebuild, there's been rumors that Fletcher is trying to bring in some more top end talent also.
According to David Pagnotta of the Forth Period and NHL SiriusXM radio, the Flyers have been inquiring about trying to make a deal with the San Jose Sharks for Timo Meier, the reason the Sharks are looking to deal Meier was how his contract was structured, the Sharks would have to match a $10 million dollar qualifying offer.

Meier certainly would be a huge addition to the Flyers, as he would give them another high-impact player. When noting that he is a pending RFA, Philadelphia could offer him a long-term deal in hopes that he's willing to be a part of their core for years to come.
However, even with this being so, it appears that they also are willing to bring in notable younger players if they feel that they can help their future. According to The Fourth Period, they are one of the clubs currently linked to San Jose Sharks star Timo Meier.
