Newly announced Flyers interim general manager Danny Briere took a small shot at Chuck Fletcher during his first interview with the Flyers. Fletcher stated multiple times throughout his final weeks as general manager that he 'did not' want to use the term rebuild, but more so a 're-tooling' process.
Since the Flyers will be entering their rebuild phase, for the first time in franchise history says Elliotte Friedman, Dave Scott has stated it'll be a multi-year process. Some players may not be willing to stay around throughout those 2-5 years, as expected for the Flyers rebuild. All players above 26-years of age are expected to be moved for future assets, said Briere, but what if one players under 26, a surprising one to say the least... is on the trade block?
This is huge news, throughout Hart's few years in Philadelphia he has yet to post up winning numbers, but so hasn't the team whatsoever. A fresh start for Hart may be the best move, as the Flyers are somehow going to get worse throughout this rebuilding process.
