Former second-round NHL draft pick Gabriel Gagne has been sentenced to six months in prison following a conviction for harassing and threatening his ex-girlfriend over a period of three years.

The 26-year-old forward, selected 36th overall by the Ottawa Senators in 2015, pleaded guilty to charges of harassment and death threats in May.
While acquitted of s*xual assault, one assault charge was stayed. Court documents reveal that Gagne bombarded his ex-girlfriend with incessant calls and texts, expressing both love and hate.
He even resorted to creating fake social media accounts to circumvent being blocked.
Gagne, who signed an entry-level contract with the Senators, never made it past the AHL in his professional career. Multiple s*xual assault allegations against him are awaiting trial, suggesting that his current prison sentence may be the first of several. Source: TVA Sports
