As the Philadelphia Flyers continue their search for a President of Hockey Operations, a new name has emerged as a potential candidate. According to Elliotte Friedman, there is interest between the Flyers and Vancouver Canucks Assistant GM Émilie Castonguay.
Friedman speculates that a meeting may have taken place yesterday between the two parties, and he also suggests that Philadelphia may also have interest in Castonguay's colleague, fellow Vancouver Assistant GM Cammi Granato.
Of course, Castonguay and Granato are not the only names in the mix for the coveted role. Scott Mellanby and Ray Shero are also being considered. While Shero has been rumored to be the preferred choice for the position, Anthony Di Marco reports that he may have his sights set on a GM role instead.
