Ridiculous trade proposed between the Flyers and Maple Leafs.
With the Flyers entering a rebuilding phase, some of the most outrageous and ridiculous trade rumours and thoughts will surface on Twitter and other forms of social media. Some armchair general managers will come up with anything that they will think of to get clicks or likes.
One fan in particular recently posted a very bizarre and impossible trade between the Flyers and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Now, the rumours coming out of the Toronto Maple Leafs are that some people feel that he has no desire to stay with the Maple Leafs and come back to the United States to play. Matthews has one year left in his deal however he can re-sign with the leaves after the Stanley Cup playoffs are over.

Granted, I'm sure the Flyers would love to have a player like Austin Matthews on their team, but this trade rumour Makes zero sense trade.
Firstly, the Maple Leafs do not own their draft pick as they moved it to get Sam Lafferty and Jake McCabe at the deadline. They do, however, own Boston's first-round pick which will be very late if not a second-round choice this year.
Secondly, as much as the Maple Leafs would have Carter Hart on their team I feel the level of trade value for Matthews would be much more than what's mentioned here.
I also think that whoever lands Bedard, if it's not the Flyers would require more than two first-round draft picks to land his rights.
Suffice it to say, this trade proposal is an absolute no-go.
