The Philadelphia Flyers have made a move in NHL Free Agency, signing former Pittsburgh Penguin Ryan Poehling to a 1-year-deal worth $1.4 million AAV. He did not receive a qualifying offer from the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday, so he was an unrestricted free agent (UFA).
The 24-year-old has played just over 100 NHL games and 70 or so games in the AHL. In the NHL he has a total of 20 goals and 16 assists, which is good enough for 36 points in total.
He has played in Montreal and Pittsburgh, playing with the Canadiens from 2018-2022, than joining the Pittsburgh Penguins this season. Scoring 14 points, with sevens across the board.
