Former Philadelphia Flyer Erik Gustafsson has signed a one-year-deal with the New York Rangers.

Erik Gustafsson will help backstop Igor Shesterkin after signing a one-year-deal worth $825K with the New York Rangers.
After playing 2 1/2 seasons with 3 different teams it looks to be more of the same for Erik Gustafsson, now heading to the Big Apple. He has been in the league since 2015 playing with the Chicago Blackhawks until 2019-20, after that he would play only 7 games with the Calgary Flames in 2019-20, 24 for the Philadelphia Flyers in 2020-21, than the Montreal Canadiens, back to Chicago, Washington for a bit, played 9 games in Toronto, and will now be a New York Ranger.
Despite all of his moving around the 31-year-old defenseman has played in almost 400 career games, earning 191 points along the way. He is a very solid defenseman and knows how to play the puck exceptionally well, should fit right in with the Rangers style play. As a veteran he can help the younger guys on the team, be a voice or a role model for the kids trying to get a starting position.
