This year's NHL All-Star Game will be held in Florida at the "FLA Live Arena," which is an odd choice of location given that Florida has had the lowest average attendance for the NHL over the past five or more years.

The 2024 All-Star game will be held in Canada, according to a local Canadian newspaper and former NHL hockey player turned broadcaster Nick Kypreos.
According to a source from Star contributing columnist Nick Kypreos, the Maple Leafs are closing in on hosting the annual event at Scotiabank Arena for the first time since 2000.

When the NHL's premier event landed in Toronto at the Air Canada Centre, Leafs captain Mats Sundin and defenceman Dmitry Yushkevich represented Team World while goalie Curtis Joseph played against them on Team North America.

NHL greats like Martin Brodeur, Ray Bourque, Paul Kariya, Mark Messier, Mike Modano, Joe Sakic, Steve Yzerman, Nicklas Lidstrom, Jaromr Jágr, Pavel Bure and current Leafs president Brendan Shanahan took the ice in Toronto.

Given that Toronto has a major hockey market and Canadian fans haven't seen an All-Star game in a while, this choice is far better than this year's All-Star Game in Florida.
