That's huge, and it means that a decision could be taken pretty soon.
The head coaching vacancy is one of Chuck Fletcher's biggest tasks this summer. And it seems like an important point has been reached. According to Frank Seravalli, the Flyers have narrowed down their head coaching search.
The finalists are believed to include Barry Trotz and John Tortorella. Anthony SanFilippo from CrossingBroad even said that if it's not one, it will be the other.
"This remains Trotz's job if he wants it. If not, it's going to be Torts. And if you ask me which is more probable? Right now I'd say Torts will be the next coach of the Flyers," wrote SanFilippo.
The Flyers would make a splash with a big name to help regenerate interest in the Philadelphia market. Let's see where things go...
