That's intriguing.

Of course, there has been a lot of rumors going on regarding Johnny Gaudreau's interest to sign with the Philadelphia Flyers this summer. However, this trade proposal doesn't involve the winger.
Jamey Baskow, from Flyers Nitty Gritty, proposed a deal between the Calgary Flames and the Philadelphia Flyers involving James Van Riemsdyk and Sean Monahan.
So, what could this trade look like? The Flyers receive center Sean Monahan and defenseman Jusso Valimaki for James Van Riemsdyk (the Flyers retain 2M$ on JVR's cap hit) and Egor Zamula.

Why would this trade work for both teams? We know that the Flyers want to part ways with James Van Riemsdyk. In the case of Monahan, he was injured for a big part of the season, and even before that, he wasn't used a lot by head coach Darryl Sutter.
Acquiring Monahan would push Kevin Hayes on the third line, where he belongs. Monahan is only 27 years old and still has a lot of good hockey to give. He had multiple 60+point seasons and had a career high 82 points in 2018-19 with the Flames. The center has one year left on his deal, with a 6.3M$ cap hit.
Would you do this trade?
