In case you missed this morning's announcement, Flyers Insider broke the the good news that the Philadelphia Flyers have fired General Manager Chuck Fletcher.

Fletcher has been in charge since being hired back in 2018 and under Fletcher, the Flyers have made the playoffs just one time and are currently missing the playoffs for the 3rd consecutive year. On top of that Fletcher failed to clear out expiring contracts for any type of assets.
The question now who's going to replace Fletcher? Well Flyers Insider Brandon J. Sommermann would reveal that two former Flyers are in the running according to Hockey Insider and host of the 32 Thoughts Podcast Jeff Marek and Elliotte Friedman the Flyers ownership is thinking of Eric Lindros or Chris Pronger to be the new GM in Philadelphia.
Here's what they shared on Twitter:
Must read on FlyersInsider
Very interesting... Elliotte & Jeff on 32-Thoughts mention a name to keep in mind for a role with Flyers is Eric Lindros. Both said Flyers view Lindros very highly and Lindros would go a long way to reconnecting with the fan base as a beloved former Flyer. #FueledByPhilly

Chris Pronger was also a name that Elliotte & Jeff mentioned on 32-Thoughts... Pronger is an interesting name to watch for a role with Flyers b/c he has previous experience as an executive in the NHL. Was apart of Florida Panthers Senior Management for 3 years. #FueledByPhilly

Both would be excellent choices but in my opinion Danny Briere would also fit in nicely as GM, but all three of these former Flyers were loved during their time here and there's really no wrong choice out of any of them, they certainly couldn't be as bad as Fletcher was that's for sure.
