There's no doubt to Flyers fans that former Flyer goaltender and General Manager Ron Hextall made some major blunders as the Flyers Gm.
One of the biggest was deciding to take Nolan Patrick instead of Cale Makar with the Flyers 2nd overall pick back in the 2017 NHL draft.
Now here is another one that stings Flyers fans especially needing a top defenceman. According to NHL Benchside on Instagram, back in 2014, the Florida Panthers were looking to make a trade with the Flyers offering their 1st overall to Hextall in exchange for forward Wayne Simmonds.
