Breaking news out of Buffalo tonight as the Buffalo Sabres announced they have signed 24 year-old Tage Thompson to a massive 7-year $49,980,000 contract extension.
The new deal has a annual salary of $7.14 million the Sabres acquired Thompson in that blockbuster deal with the St Louis Blues for Ryan O'Reilly back on July 1st 2018

Thompson had a breakout year last year with the Sabres scoring 30 goals, and 38 assists in 78 games. Thompson was a 1st round 26th overall pick by the Blues back in the 2016 NHL Draft.
The Phoenix Arizona native has a career total of 56 goals, and 103 points in 223 career total games played. St Louis definitely regrets trading away Thompson now as he's emerging to be a star in Buffalo.
