Daniel Brière, recently appointed as special assistant to the general manager of the Philadelphia Flyers, was giving his first press conference today.
Even though he is still in the learning stages of his post-player career, Brière seems to be bringing with him some fresh ideas and the will to change some long lasting and unaddressed problems around the team.
With both Chuck Fletcher and now Brière aware of the gravity of the situation, the Flyers seem ready to find solutions for the future seasons. Both agree on the fact that the team need a «difference maker».
The new advisor to the GM also added that the situation in which the Flyers are right now could be turned to their advantage and that they should bounce back from it, through the draft and trade opportunities. Flyers fans can expect exciting signings in the months to come.
