Cam Atkinson was emotional talking about Claude Giroux

Cam Atkinson is a Flyer since last summer, but it's clear that he's really appreciated in the locker room. With Giroux out of the lineup for obvious reasons, an "A" was put on his jersey yesterday against the Ottawa Senators.
Before the game, Atkinson talked about his relationship with Giroux. They were clearly really good friends, and it's going to be difficult for him to see his good buddy being traded.
"It was an emotional night.... In 6 months with G, we became pretty close. Not just us but our wives and families. All we can do is try to bring some energy," said Cam Atkinson.
He added that some people do not realize how much Claude Giroux meant and did for the Flyers organization. Let's hope that Giroux will sign a new deal with the team this summer, as he'll be an UFA.
