Capfriendly.com reveals important dates for NHL fans this summer.
During the summer months, the NHL is winding down to its Stanley Cup final within the next week, with many fans always keeping track of what's important and upcoming.
Many fans stay tuned for the NHL Entry Draft because most teams that did not make the playoffs will make a splash or even make trades due to players not wanting to resign or an opportunity to bolster their lineup by using their first-round draft pick.
The NHL draft is held over two days which happened to fall on June 28th and 29th this year. Then qualifying offer day is important with restricted free agents as this will guarantee the teams' rights to that player if they offer them a qualifying offer.

June 30th holds the first buyout window or teams can choose a player that they can buy out and take a small hit over twice the length of the remaining deal as dead cap space.
And then July 1st is free agency day where unrestricted free agents can cash in and move to new teams that feel that they will help them have a better chance next season.
With all these days coming up, many of them are very important to the Flyers, especially the NHL Entry Draft. The Flyers currently have 15 players signed to contracts for the upcoming year and have a projected salary cap available of $7.7 million.
They hold draft picks in the first, third, 4th 5th 6th and 7th rounds this year and have nine draft picks.
I expect the management team to be quite busy as they began the rebuilding phase of this team with a slight teardown of the current roster. It remains to be seen who will go and who will be coming back but I feel this roster will not look the same starting in October.
