Following the puck drop, you got to see a great fight.

As Rick Tocchet and Terry Carkner square off on the ice, they absolutely lay into one another without a second thought.

With a whirlwind of punches, Tocchet seemed on his way to winning the fight.

The fight appeared to be heading toward a stalemate when Carkner turned the tables on Tocchet and began attacking him.

Although the referees ended up breaking the fight up, we are reminded of how passionately hockey players once fought on the ice.
