Claude Giroux gave his all for the Flyers organization. But obviously, they never thank him the proper way, which would have been to build a competitive team year after year. For the first time in his NHL career, Giroux had the opportunity to be selfish.
And he was.
Giroux only wanted to go to Florida. He had his destiny in his own hands and he took profit of it. If the Flyers had built a competitive team, Giroux would still be playing with an orange and black jersey.
Which is obviously not the case anymore.
Philadelphia made the playoffs 4 times since the 2012-13 season. It's clearly unacceptable. Chuck Fletcher must now have a single objective in mind : do everything in his power to make the Flyers a competitive team. Enough is enough.
