Isaac Ratcliffe signed a professional tryout agreement with the Blues. Ratcliffe also recently signed a minor-league contract with an unaffiliated AHL Chicago club in July, so if the PTO with St.Louis doesn't work out he has something to fall back on.

If Ratcliffe can find a groove during this PTO, St.Louis could be getting a highly motivated 24yr beast with huge potential that Fletcher couldn't see with the small sample size this player was given in Philadelphia.
Ratcliffe has done nothing but dominate and win on previous teams. As captain of the 2018-19 Guelph Storm, he defeated the Ottawa 67's on a run that won them the Memorial Cup. He scored 2 goals and added 2 assists in the clinching game 6 win. That season he amassed 82pts in 65 games.
The Flyers drafted him in the 2nd round, 35th overall, in the 2017 Draft. The organization buried him in the minors. During the 2021-22 season, playing in Lehigh Valley, Ratcliffe produced 28pts in 59 games. That same season, the Fletcher doomed organization called him up. Ratcliffe got 4pts in 10 games on a crappy Philly team, while being on the 4th line. ..then was sent back down.

If I have a kid that gets 4pts in 10 games on the 4th line, on a poor offensively challenged team, I'd be at least putting him on the 1st or 2nd line, giving him some power-play time and seeing what the kids got. He simply wasn't given that chance. Not to mention that the kid is 6'6" and weighs 210lbs, and isn't shy to throw it around.

My son and I had a brief meeting with Ratcliffe in 2018-19, outside the Ottawa arena during the Storms run to the Championship that year and he was extremely down to earth and very friendly, great memories.
Ratcliffe can produce in the NHL if given a proper opportunity and hopefully the St.Louis Blues give him that chance IN THE NHL, to prove it!...Kevin Hayes could give also put in a good word for the kid.
