Let me begin by saying that he has, without an ounce of a doubt, some major attitude issues. But there's not a lot of players like him in the NHL : not only he put goals (and points) on the boards, but he can pretty much do it all. He could bring that toughness on the ice that the Flyers are lacking.
I'm not saying that Chuck Fletcher should do everything in his power to get him. But we can at least question if Kane could be valuable as a hockey player ONLY to the Flyers. And the answer is yes. He scored 6 goals in 7 games for the Oilers during their first round series against the Kings. During the regular season, he registered 39 points in 43 points. That's not bad at all...
However, Evander Kane as a human being is not really what you're looking for. And at the end of the day, hockey players are seen like examples for youngest people and it isn't the case of Kane.
