On Tuesday night the Flyers wrapped up a road trip that saw them hit the West Coast of Seattle, Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton in a five-day period. Coming with that, were some late nights for Flyers fans back on the East Coast. With games not starting until 9:00 and 10:00 p.m. EST, some games weren't over until well past midnight.

Good news for Flyers fans, the late nights are over. Flyers fans sleep schedules can go back to, somewhat, normal as all of their West Coast games are over. That is a massive advantage completing all West Coast games by the start of January.
Everyone could tell how exhausted the team was by the end of the Edmonton game due to the travel. Having all of that brutal travel out of the way will be massive come March when the team starts battling for a Playoff spot.
The Flyers completed the first leg of the West Coast in November as they traveled to San Jose, Anaheim and Los Angeles in a four-game road trip that wrapped up in Carolina.

To end the year, the Flyers then went to Vancouver, Seattle, Calgary and Edmonton to cross the entire West Coast off the list. Overall in those tough road trips, the Flyers went 3-4. Not bad considering all the circumstances.
The Flyers have a great opportunity in January to catch up on their rest and regain some momentum as they have a good amount of home stretches throughout the month, beginning tonight as they welcome the Columbus Blue Jackets to the Wells Fargo Center.
