The Philadelphia Flyers and Montreal Canadiens may have just emerged as potential trade partners heading into the 2022 NHL Draft and free agency.

Flyers GM Chuck Fletcher has no intention to tank next year despite having the fourth worst record in the NHL. Notably, Josh Anderson is a name being thrown around on Broad Street and in Montreal. Here's what Flyers commentator Mikey D had to say about Anderson.
"I think it's worth noting he had a career year in points (2018-19) under Tortorella at age 24 and started 55% of his EvSt face-offs in defensive situations (a career high)."

The 28-year-old is now in the prime of his career and an easy 20-goal guy. He has also played his best hockey under John Tortorella. As a big, fast and skilled power forward, he is a rarity in the NHL that GMs salivate for. The 6-foot-3, 227-pound forward is also a playoff performer.
The Habs won't let go of him cheaply but the fifth overall pick may do just the trick.
"Anderson's a good example of Tortorella getting everything out of a young forward." -Mikey D
With the two teams finishing at the bottom of the standings, their approaches to handling their rough season could not be more different. One hired an ex-NHL All-Star with no NHL coaching experience and the other a seasoned coaching veteran.
