In the Edmonton Oilers' game against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday, forward Evander Kane suffered a terrible injury. When Lightning forward Patrick Maroon accidently skated over Kane's wrist, it was agonizing to see him bleed out.
He is doing OK, which is fantastic news! The Oilers and BR study revealed the following information to the public:
A "wrist slitting" injury can keep a player out of action for 4-6 months.

GM of the Edmonton Oilers Ken Holland tweeted: "This about @evanderkane." His wrist has a serious cut. After being stabilized, he was admitted to the hospital. Kane will have wrist surgery. He will be alright.

Kane has been placed on injured reserve and will be out for at least three and a half months.
