Fans Held Their Breathe During a Scary Emergency Situation Last Night

The Prince Albert Raiders visited the Brandon Wheat Kings last night, and things quickly went south. With only three seconds left in the third period,�Brandon Wheat Kings forward Charlie Elick suffered an alarming injury.

Charlie Elick was tangled in an unexpected collision with a member of the opposing team and was left helpless after�hitting the boards.�
A man by the name of Rob Mahon provided the initial report with the following statement:
''Late in the second period, the game is suddenly very much a secondary issue. Wheat Kings defenseman Charlie Elick is being stretchered off the ice after a collision on the right wing boards. He went in extremely awkwardly. Both teams training staff were out right away.''

The medical professionals from both teams responded to Elick's needs, and according to Perry Bergson, a writer for the Brandon Son, a signal was thrown indicating that this was an emergency.
The Brandon Wheat Kings have not yet provided an update, but they did promise to do so as soon as they receive one.�
They finished off the game with a 5-4 win, and dedicated it to Charlie Elick.
