Ivan Provorov has arrived in Columbus to begin his career with the Columbus Blue Jackets next season. He was part of a 3-way deal involving the Philadelphia Flyers, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Los Angeles Kings.
Provorov spoke to the local media, answering questions about his perspective on Columbus and his future with the team.
"Overall, I think everyone's been very welcoming," Provorov said. "And that's very exciting.

Provorov believes that the best Flyers team he played on was during the covid pause in 2020-2021 when they made the play-in round but couldn't advance much further.
During that time, he played alongside Jakub Voracek, who is now a future Jacket.
Provy is eager to use his passing ability to become a playmaker on the team, given the talent of the young players in the breakout and the veteran players' scoring abilities.
He expressed genuine enthusiasm for playing in Columbus with Babcock, having experienced a similar coaching style with John Tortorella in Philadelphia.
Boone Jenner and Johnny Gaudreau were among the players who welcomed Provorov to the team with a phone call.
