Big news just in as the Buffalo Sabres have acquired retired net-minder Ben Bishop and a 7th round pick in 2022 from the Dallas Stars for future considerations.

In 2017-18, the big goalie signed 6 year $29,500,000 with the stars. This year, he unexpectedly announced his retirement from professional hockey.
This is a trade purely for cap space as the Sabres take on the last year of his $4.9 million AAV contract.
Last year, he had a 2.50 GAA and a 0.920% in 44 NHL games. The Stars are all in on their new star Jake Oettinger.
