The recent moves made by Chuck Fletcher, the General Manager of the Philadelphia Flyers, have resulted in the loss of valuable players and salary cap space.
Despite the efforts of Danny Briere to acquire new assets, the team has suffered from Fletcher's decisions.
are you saying we essentially have 1 active player (risto) in addition to giving up 7 picks? for all of that?
I would take Ghost & Hagg over Risto & TDA 8 days a week. When you really lay out all the picks & additional salary Fletcher handed out to acquire 2 players that weren't really improvements, it's mind blowing. & how CF managed to keep his job as long as he did even more so!
One example of this harm was the trade of reliable defensemen Gostisbehere and Hagg, who had cost-controlled salaries, for Rasmus Ristolainen and Tony DeAngelo, along with giving away a significant amount of draft capital.
Unfortunately, only Ristolainen remains with the team, as DeAngelo's negative impact on team dynamics led to his departure.
Fletcher's history of damaging teams, including the Minnesota Wild, is now evident in his actions with the Flyers.
