For the first time since 2020, just a couple of weeks before Covid shutdown the world, the Flyers will hold their annual Flyers Wives Fight for Lives Charity Carnival that supports Flyers charities and allows fans to meet players and have a fun time playing carnival games, riding carnival rides, and even getting a chance to take a shot on goal. In addition to their own signings and photo sessions(available to fans via a specific player ticket) the Flyers players will also rotate around the arena from station to station throughout the day giving all fans a chance to interact with their favorite player(s). This years Carnival is scheduled to be held March 23rd, 2023. General Admission Tickets for the event will go on sale to the puck on November 14th, 2022.
Considering the word "annual" is being used here, and I'm sure some are wondering how it can still be considered "annual" when they haven't been able to hold it for two years, it's probably best to point out it's still considered "annual" because while the carnival itself wasn't able to be held "in person" the players wives and Flyers charities got creative and selected a home game from the 2021 and 2022 schedules to hold annual Carnival events. Meaning that during whatever the designated chosen game was they held charity bids similar to those done at the carnival, "mystery pucks" were available for fans to purchase(this is a puck signed by a player, but it's wrapped up, so you don't know which player you got until you've already purchased the puck) - like is done at the carnival - and a few other fun things usually reserved for the carnival were held for those who attended the game. For those that weren't in attendance, the charity bids were also opened up to fans online via the Flyers Charities website, as is also customary during the Carnival itself.
So while "in person" wasn't an available option, the brain trust of the carnival got creative and still managed to keep it tagged with "annual" via creative ideas despite the circumstances they were dealt.
