The Philadelphia Flyers are currently holding a very impressive record of 6-3-2, and are ranked within the top 15 best teams in the NHL currently. Many are crediting John Tortorella for the Flyers most recent success, and many should consider to agree.

Torts has held players accountable at any given time he sees somebody slacking, including benching and also sending down forward Zac MacEwen, Torts lit a fire under MacEwen for ''needing to be better'', MacEwen proceeded to be called up and has been on fire with the Flyers ever since.
Despite Risto being healthy, Tortorella has recently decided to hold Rasmus Ristolainen out of the Flyers most recent game against the Ottawa Senators. Tortorella backed up his decision with many comments, including this one below:
''Everything about his game needs to be better," John Tortorella said about Rasmus Ristolainen. Said he doesn't think Ristolainen's injury is still hampering him. Adds he'll get "another crack at it".

That other crack will come during tonights matchup against the St.Louis Blues, as Risto hopes to redeem himself against the Blues.
Tortorella also held another player accountable, a player who has yet to be criticized that much, Travis Sanehim.
"Inconsistent. Certainly need more offense out of him. I know he's trying on the defensive part of the game, as far as closing plays out quicker. I know he's trying. But it's been an inconsistent start for him. Just being honest with you."
