The Philadelphia Flyers have yet to successfully draft forwards, which what seems to be throughout the past ten plus years. Tanner Laczynski for example was the Flyers 168th overall draft pick in the 2016 NHL entry draft and has yet to show any proven success at the pro-level.
Injuries have had played a large part in that, Laczynski has missed 43 games this year with a very serious ankle injury. Thankfully, it appears that he is now fully recovered and is making his debut tonight. John Tortorella, who is infamous for being hard on his players in a good way, isn't taking it easy on Laczynski during his return tonight:
Tanner Laczynski makes his return tonight after being out since early December with a lower-body injury.
What does John Tortorella want to see from him?
«Everything,» he said.
This is the kind of coach the Flyers have been in need of for years, if only new management could be brought in the Flyers may actually be a playoff team.
