There are times when NHL teams send letters to their fans. Normally, in such cases, it's due to a particularly poor season, and the management and ownership would like to provide the fan base with a sense of reassurance while sharing their ideas about why the letter was sent and how things will improve.

It appears that this isn't the case for the Flyers this year. Ownership and management have changed their approach to engaging with the fan base. They recently sent out a letter to fans, announcing a Flyers block party at the South Philly Sports Complex on Tuesday, October 17th.
According to the information, they have asked fans to arrive at 5:45 PM for a pregame show, and there will be multiple events around the complex. There will be a variety of options for kids, including inflatables, face painting, and food and drink specials in the area.
With the Flyers currently amid a rebuilding phase, ownership needs to provide fans with something to look forward to, even if winning hockey games may not be the top priority this season.
The Flyers will be facing the Vancouver Canucks, with the game starting at 6:00 PM. Make sure to arrive early at the Wells Fargo Center to enjoy the festivities.
