The Philadelphia Flyers are quite similar to the Chicago Blackhawks, however this season the Flyers are almost worse. Following ten straight losses, the Philadelphia Flyers finally managed to win on Tuesday night against the New York Islanders in a tight battle. Although the Flyers and Blackhawks are only six spots apart in the NHL scoreboard standingsthe Blackhawks are in 31stand he Flyers are in 26thboth organizations want to take separate paths. The Chicago Blackhawks and their general manager Kyle Davidson have often declared that they would be sellers and that they are starting a multi-year rebuild.
Although it doesn't seem very likely, the Philadelphia Flyers are moving in a completely opposite path and may only need a few trades to get back on track. They have multiple players who are hoping to go far in the playoffs this season. The Blackhawks signed Max Domi and Andreas Anthanasiou to one-year, $3 million friendly contracts this off-season during free agencywith the intention of trading them at the NHL trade deadline OR before.
The Philadelphia Flyers have a problem developing players. Forward Morgan Frost, 23, who was selected twenty-seventh overall a few years ago but has yet to be given a full-time roster spot because of the Flyers' full lineup, is one player who is struggling with the organization's developmental process. Frost is now left with a full-time role with the Flyers organization, but has yet to bloom in any department.

The Blackhawks will suffer when Jonathan Toews decides to leave or retire because of his faceoff dot statistics, which are remarkable, Frost has been taught by one of the better faceoff takers in the NHL and that is Claude Giroux throughout his years in Philadelphia, Frost currently holds an above 40% faceoff rate, and is only growing further.
Since the Blackhawks have many open roster slots and are in need of youth to begin their rebuild, they may wish to be one of the teams inquiringabout ayoung Morgan Frost. He has excelled in the American League for several years and has a team Canada gold medal under his belt.

If the Blackhawks are going to lose Anthanasiou to free agency after this season, why not gain value? A swap might very well benefit both clubs. With his incredible speed, Andreas Anthanasiou would complement the Flyers' "big sized" offensive, and Morgan Frost would help the Blackhawks' reconstruction get off to a faster start.
JVR, who is a forward likely out the door this season once his contract expires will leave a open spot on the Flyers roster, Anthanasiou would be an amazing replacement.
