On Tuesday this week�Gary Bettman visited the Arizona Coyotes during their�Tempe City Council meeting to save the franchise from relocating, it was a council-voting meeting which would have potentially meant the Coyotes had to relocate, but of course NHL commissioner Gary Bettman came to their aid.� The NHL made its own case to preserve the Coyotes under Gary Bettman, and Bettman made a LOT of promises.
Bettman ''pulled some strings'' and promised the Coyotes will get an all-star game AND an NHL draft within the next 10 years... two things a lot of NHL franchise have yet to have in forever, OR EVER!
Why does Bettman love the Coyotes so much, exactly? In their twenty-six years in the National Hockey League, they have never won a cup, and they haven't even had proven�success in those years.

Well, NHL insider Elliot Friedman has explained why it makes sense in his opinion that Bettman loves the Coyotes so much.
''I will tell you why he is fighting to keep them around, two of the highest revenue teams in the league now are Vegas & Seattle and I think he sits there and says, if we could ever get this sorted out, why can't Arizona be the same way?'' Said Friedman.
It makes sense, Bettman has always been about his money no matter what the circumstance is.
This is not a cheap project, it consists of $2.1 billion dollars in renovations, but the Tempe City Council votes consisted of a 7-0 voting final after Bettman pled his case.
