It's not like this is going to surprise many Flyers fans, but Zack MacEwan is expected and close to re-signing with the Philadelphia Flyers through the 2022-2023 season.

MacEwan was undrafted and signed with the Flyers this past season when Kevin Hayes went down with injury and other circumstances. He was claimed off of waivers from the Canucks and joined the team on October 20, 2021.
This past year, the 25-year-old Charlottetown native made a salary of around $950,000, taking him to restricted free agency.
In 75 games with the team, he had 3 goals and 6 assists, logging a whopping 110 penalty minutes in that span.
MacEwan will most definitely slot into a bottom-six role next season if not in the AHL. Under a coach like Tortorella however, there may be some untapped talent waiting to surprise us at training camp.
