The Flyers have had their share of victories and have decided to host an alumni game against the Boston Bruins on January 26th, 2024, as they celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Stanley Cup wins in 1974 and 1975.
Additionally, the Flyers are excited to announce that this game will precede Mark Recchi's induction into the Flyers Hall of Fame. Recchi was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1988 in the fourth round, 67th overall.
Throughout his career, he played for seven NHL organizations, including two stints with the Flyers. His scoring prowess and overall physical play embodied the true meaning of a power forward. Over the course of his career, he played 1,652 games, scored 577 goals, recorded 956 assists, and accumulated 1,533 points. He maintained an even plus-minus rating and accrued 1,033 penalty minutes.
It's important to note that all proceeds from this game, especially ticket sales, will be donated to Flyers charities and the Flyers Alumni Association. Tickets are available now; don't miss out on this exciting event!
