So, here it is.

With the 4-1 loss last night to the Minnesota Wild, the Philadelphia Flyers were officially eliminated from contention for the playoffs. It's the first time since the seasons 1989-90 and 1990-91 that the team misses the playoffs in consecutive seasons.
With a 21-35-11 record, the Flyers are in last place in the Metropolitan division. For the moment, they have the 5th overall pick in the next draft that will take place in Montréal. The Flyers have a 8.5% odds to win the lottery and select first.

Even if it was confirmed last night that the Flyers won't be in the playoffs, there are still some things to look at until the end of the campaign. Ronnie Attard and Noah Cates signed their entry-level contract. The latter played his first NHL game last night.
In the case of Attard, he will also certainly play against the Maple Leafs on Staurday.
Don't forget Bobby Brink. He will probably also play some games this year in Philadelphia when his season in the NCAA will end.
