As the Flyers cruised to another resounding victory against a top-ten level team defeating the Dallas Stars 5-1, a Flyers legend added another feather to his cap as he continues his case for a Hall-of-Fame career. The Flyers are winners of five straight and two points off of first place as they are led by veteran Sean Couturier both on the ice and in the locker room.
Last night, Sean Couturier suited up for his 762nd career NHL game, all coming with the Flyers. As Couturier assisted a second period goal by Owen Tippett, Couturier recorded his 300th career assist. Another accomplishment Couturier can add to his resume.
After dealing with multiple back injuries that required multiple back surgeries the past few years, many were uncertain if Couturier would be back on the ice and back on the ice producing.
Coots has returned with a vengeance this season, pouring in 30 points on 20 assists and ten goals. Couturier is a vocal leader in the locker room and a guy that the team turns towards to learn what it means to be a member of the orange and black.
