Flyers goaltender Samuel Ersson has been playing some decent hockey over the last number of weeks and has found himself on the bench as the backup.
That, however, has changed as the Flyers will be coming up to a large break in their schedule with only one game within the next week or so, they plan to send Ersson down to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
As Ersson is still in his entry-level contract, the Flyers have the luxury of sending him down to the Phantoms whenever they see fit without having to pass through the waiver wire. The Flyers also intend to keep and protect their other goaltender Felix Sandstrom as he would need to go through waivers.
